• The route can be climb for 7 days but if need more time for acclimatization then will go for 8 days
The trek starts at Londorossi Gate. You climb to the summit, and descend through Mweka Gate.
DISTANCE: 6KM/4MILES
TIME: 3-4HRS
Arrive at Londorosi gate and drive to for about one hours inside the park then walk through a forest for about three hours towards your first camp.
Evening: Diner and overnight at Mti mkubwa camp.
DISTANCE: 8KM/5MILES
TIME: 5-6HRS
After breakfast, walk through the rainforest into the heather and moorland zone. You will cross many streams and walk over a plateau heading to Shira 2 camp.
Evening: Meals and overnight at Shira 2 camp.
DISTANCE: 11KM/6MILES
TIME: 7-9HRS
This day will be a long day and you will experience a high and lower altitude at the same day. It will be good for acclimatization for more chance to get to the summit. You will experience high altitude while hiking from Shira 2 to lava tower then descent from Lava to Barranco camp
Evening: Diner and overnight at Barranco Camp.

TIME: 4-5HRS
After an early breakfast, walk through an alpine desert and conquer the great Barranco wall. At the top of the wall you are above the cloud and enjoy the best vies of the southern ice fields and the summit. You will trail down to karanga camp
Evening: Diner and overnight at the camp.

TIME: 3-4HRS
After breakfast at the camp, hike to the last camp before summit. The Barafu Camp, here you will go to bed very early for a midnight woke up ready to hike to the summit.

DISTANCE: 15KM/10MILES
TIME: 10-12HRS
Today is a summit day! Here we have two part, one from Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peaks the highest point of the mountain which takes about 7 hours and another from Uhuru peaks to Mweka camp which takes around 5hours. You will wake up at midnight, have a cup of coffee at the camp and trail for about six hour to Stella point at the crater rim then trek on the snow covered trail for about an hour to reach the uhuru peak! Now you are at the highest point of Africa! Take enough photos here before you descent to the next camp that will take you about 5 hours

TIME: 3-4HRS
This is your last day on the mountain! Trail through the forest to Mweka gate, here you will find your driver waiting to pick you up and drop you to a close by lodge for shower , a nice hot lunch and a cold drink in a swimming pool.
