Mount Meru is the fifth highest mount in Africa, and second highest in Tanzania after Kilimanjaro. It has different vegetation zone from Montane forest , the higher you ascent you to a Moorland and as you approach summit into an alpine terrain to ash cone . 

Climbing mount Meru give a unique wilderness experience given that its located in the heart of Arusha National park you will come across large game such as Buffalo, Giraffes, Antelopes, Baboons, colobus monkeys and hundreds of bird species and for this reason one has to be accompanied by armed park ranger during the trip despite presence of our own guides. Meru is mostly used as an acclimatization and warm up for Kilimanjaro climb though it’s a few days trek its very steep and can be challenging to some climbers. Its accommodation is in an equipped mountain huts comfortable for a night stay.
